Chris Benoit - Tragic story, but in the ring had few equals.

Jushin Liger - Trained by Stu Hart!

to me dynamite kid should be above benoit since benoit emulated him ....and davey boy and bret gave the world a wrestling masterclass at summerslam 92

Top two for me have to be Dynamite Kid and Benoit! Both brilliant technical wrestlers whose careers were cut short albeit that Dynamite Kid got injured and Benoit's head was fried from sted's that he killed his family, tragic.

Man that affected me for a month's I could not understand why he would do something like that and to this day I’m still conflicted because he was a great wrestler and you can’t take the memories of his career away but I still can’t forget his final act on this earth ………………………..

Totally agree with you Champ! I remember waking up Monday morning and watching the first hour before I went to college, one of them where you just couldn't get your head around it. All the stuff that came out from his autopsy was just shocking! But yeah Jericho should be up there too, charismatic and a brilliant technical wrestler, mat and in the air

He did it because he was fucked up after years of concussions...not purely steroid abuse as EVERYONE thinks! Plain and simple! The man was a brilliant technical wrestler with a real talent...but sadly he became a victim of the system...perform, hurt, take some painkillers, perform, hurt, take some painkillers, add a little steroid abuse in there and repeat the perform, hurt, painkiller process basically every night for how ever many years and the brain became a mess!

It's sad because he was definitely one of the best wrestlers in the business when it came to mat based wrestling and unlike others who have simply died of heart attacks or other complications brought on by the hard work ethic, his legacy is forever tainted by this shocking act of madness.

For me though yeah in the early 1990's the man to beat was Bret Hart. When everyone else was getting into the power wrestling that was beginning to appear, Bret was the sobering reminder of what wrestling is about: technical holds with power behind them!

Sure you can powerbomb your way to a victory after beating the living crap outta someone...nothing wrong with that either but there's nothing sweeter than wearing down a single bodypart and then synching on the submission hold to make'em tap! Hell even the Undertaker has moved into that territory and he is a powerhouse...I think the best win for him was the Mania match against HHH when he locked that Hells Gate on after all else seemingly failed!

agreed, I meant more when it happened I was only 14 teen at the time and it disturbed me greatly because I didn’t know all about the abuse but any way on to the subject at hand ……

always thought of the undertaker as a brawler but he has incorporated some technical moves and submissions into his repertoire in the last five years and I totally agree it was a fitting end to the match..............  oh and I thought of another good technical wrestle ric flair surprised no one has mentioned him yet
